CASCO takes responsibility for the environment. By using energy-efficient technology, we achieve noticeable savings in energy and CO2 during production. At our Satu Mare production site, we are able to source the required heat and electricity from 100% renewable energy sources thanks to our two in-house combined heat and power plants. For the production of our CASCO helmets, we require both heat and electricity, and combined heat and power plants make it possible to provide both in a single process. While the system generates electricity, heat is produced as a “by-product,” and vice versa. In contrast to conventional power plants, energy losses are extremely low, with an overall efficiency of more than 90%. With our two combined heat and power plants, we generate electricity and heat exactly where they are needed. However, if the production facility’s electricity demand cannot be fully covered by our own combined heat and power plants, additional electricity is sourced from solar energy. By using energy-efficient technology, we aim to contribute to climate protection and preserve nature and the environment for future generations.
